WHATEVER IT TAKES
WHATEVER IT TAKES
WHO IS WHATEVER IT TAKES?
Whatever It Takes is a committee of enthusiastic volunteers who are family and friends of the late Jake Rolls. Saddened by Jake’s death we were inspired by his courage and determination in his battle with Melanoma cancer. The Whatever It Takes Committee was formed to honor his memory.
Jake was a young, fit and happy 20 year old when he was first, unexpectedly, diagnosed with Melanoma cancer. After surgery, hospital stays, months of radiotherapy and doctors appointments, Jake was given the all clear and excitedly returned back to his active life. A year went by when the cancer re-surfaced in his lungs, liver, spine and eventually in his brain. Jake was more determined than ever to overcome this disease. Jake’s can-do attitude inspired his friends and family to adopt a “whatever it takes” approach in their efforts to help Jake and his family. Jake passed in September 2011, two weeks after his 22nd birthday. Jake may no longer be with us but his spirit lives on through the work Whatever It Takes now do.

WHATEVER IT TAKES WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITHOUT THE SUPPORT, DONATIONS AND TRUST GIVEN BY YOU – SO THIS IS OUR PROMISE TO YOU
YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We respect and comply with the National Privacy Principles, so your personal information is only used for the purpose of Whatever It Takes and is not distributed elsewhere.
YOUR SAFETY & OUR ENVIRONMENT
The wellbeing and safety of our committee, volunteers, participants and any other helping hands is very important to us. We take great care to choose events and venues which are safe for all involved and we aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
Is paramount in our fundraising efforts!
Your generosity is actually helping people! WEIT are volunteers and do not get paid. Yes, we have fundraising costs but sometimes we have to spend money to make money. We have a generous support base of family, friends, community and sponsors. To all of you we are grateful for your confidence in our cause.
So your dollar does make an impact! It is not invested, nor is it put in reserve, but 100% given away when raised, to support the work of cancer organisations, particularly in the area of Melanoma. At a local level, and where possible, we also use your money to support people we know who need help to lighten their cancer burden.
